SAVE KIDS LIVES: My Minute Tips - Gratitude

Updated: Oct 18, 2021

My business objective is to help bring simple tools to adolescents to elevate their mental wellness. These tips are for all ages and situations. Don't fall into the mental misconception that one needs to be broken before one does something. Do something for yourself today and be grateful for what you have.

Focusing on gratitude helps your brain's functionality. US Berkley's research showed, "We found that across the participant's, when people felt more grateful, their brain activity was distinct from brain activity related to guilt and the desire to help a cause. More specifically, we found that when people who are generally more grateful gave more money to a cause, they showed greater neural sensitivity in the medial prefrontal cortex, a brain area associated with learning and decision making. This suggests that people who are more grateful are also more attentive to how they express gratitude.

When I can see situations from others' point of view, it helps me understand and solve the situation together as a team instead of becoming hurt and resentful towards the other person".

I invite you to think of 3 things your'e grateful for at the end of everyday and see how this can change your way of viewing hard days.
